SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS

Li Huayi at 60
Presented by The Ink Society

The renowned artist Li Huayi (b. 1948) paints majestic landscapes that recall the classical paintings of the Northern Song dynasty (960-1126), yet he sees himself as a contemporary Chinese painter. He draws on the age-old tradition of the Chinese literati, and also his exposure to Western art, to create an entirely new individual style that bridges the gap between ancient and modern, East and West.

The Ink Society of Hong Kong will proudly present an exhibition of Li Huayi's paintings during the fair. This will be the first time that this collection of the master's works is shown to the public. In addition, to mark his 60th birthday which he celebrates this year, Li Huayi will attend the fair to meet collectors and art aficionados.
